The NASA Worm logo replaced the Meatball in 1975. It won the prestigious “Award of Design Excellence” and was used for 17 years before Nasa reverted back to the Meatball. This logo received a lot of resistance due to the missing crossbars of the A's, despite its more "modern" and simplified look. This fleece blanket features the NASA Worm logo.
